Since doing my preliminary task i have found that i have developed much more in the way i do my layouts and pay more attention to details of the photography, i also know how to edit and distribute photos out much better as well as making them a better quality. I believe that i use much fresher, less blurry looking photos and fonts and am not as careless as i was in my preliminary task. Instead of sticking to one font i have used a variety in my New Saga magazine and included quotes to bond with the audience. I think i have become much more aware of the effects of my layouts and texts i use in my editing and how it reflects back to the reader.
I have learnt that since my preliminary task i have used a much better variety of colors with red, yellow, black and white instead of just black and red as i did in my last task, i also took into account what colors would collaborate better which i didn't consider before, another way in which I've grown. I've also made my magazine look more realistic than before because i laid my font out well and didn't overlap at all whilst the font in my last task was way too big and covered a large proportion of the page and i didn't take into account that this would block the main artist/model of the page. I also have used a more cut and lean masthead whilst before i let my mast head overlap the model and also put it at the middle of the page which was unpractical and in learning from this i have made sure that my new masthead doesn't block my artist but still stands out.
The software of Photoshop was the biggest help towards my magazine because it allow ed me to alter the photos as well as improve the fonts and the layout of my magazine. It is because of the software i was able to make all of these changes. I have also learnt to use Photoshop much better than i did in my preliminary task because most of my posts were from word because i didn't understand Photoshop very well but in my new task i used Photoshop for almost every post.
